Abby Van Dyke
Practicum Student/ Neurofeedback Technician
Hi, I’m Abby! I am a Clinical Counseling master’s student at Alliant International University, working toward licensure as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC). I also earned my B.S. in Psychological and Brain Sciences from the University of California, Santa Barbara, with a minor in Applied Psychology.
I am passionate about supporting individuals as they navigate life transitions and the challenges that can accompany periods of change. My professional interests include trauma-informed care and exploring the ways trauma can affect life transitions, identity, and attachment styles. I believe that understanding the experiences that have shaped us can create space for healing and meaningful change.
I want to create a warm, compassionate, and welcoming space where clients feel safe to be themselves and explore their feelings and experiences without judgment. I believe therapy is a collaborative process, and I will work alongside my clients to understand what they are experiencing and navigate challenges in a way that feels supportive and true to who they are.
My goal is to create a space where you feel heard, understood, and cared for, with the support to navigate life’s challenges in a way that feels right for you.
