Jenaya Vasquez
Student therapist and NF Technician
Jenaya is passionate about supporting the emotional and developmental needs of children and adolescents. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Studies with a focus on Elementary Education from San Diego State University and brings over four years of experience teaching across San Diego. Her time in the classroom sparked a deep interest in the social and emotional well-being of her students, which led her to pursue a career in clinical mental health.
Jenaya is currently working toward her Master’s in Clinical Psychology at Pepperdine University, on the Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT) licensing track. She has experience working with children and adolescents facing a variety of challenges, including autism, ADHD, behavioral concerns, trauma, developmental delays, social skills difficulties, mood disorders, and anxiety.
She takes a collaborative, strengths-based approach to therapy, working closely with children and their families to help them build skills, confidence, and emotional resilience. Jenaya strives to create a warm, inclusive, and non-judgmental space where clients feel safe, heard, and supported. Her work is guided by culturally sensitive, evidence-based practices, and always tailored to the unique needs of each child and family.
In her free time, Jenaya enjoys being active and spending time outdoors. You can often find her at the beach, exploring hiking trails, or relaxing at a local coffee shop.
