Hi, my name is Neriah (Na-ry-uh), she/her pronouns, and I am an Associate Marriage and Family therapist. I received my Bachelors in Psychology from Temple University in Philadelphia, PA and a Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy from University of San Diego.

Whenever I am asked why I decided to become a therapist, my answer is simple. I want to be the change that my family and I needed growing up. Too many people go through life not feeling seen or heard and believing that their mental health is a secondary concern. My primary goal is to provide a safe and brave space for clients to feel more aligned and at peace in their lives.

As a Black, queer, neurodivergent woman, I understand the nuance of intersectionality and I take this into consideration with all my clients. I specialize in caring for underserved communities such as LGBTQIA+ members, BIPOC, neurodiverse individuals, and Transitional Aged Youth (16-25) with empathy and curiosity.

I have a passion for working with relational issues, intimacy, identity exploration and complex trauma. I utilize a non-pathologizing and holistic lens that embraces each client’s unique humanness. I foster values of equity, critical hope, gratitude and creativity in my work with clients.

Outside of therapy, I prioritize slowing down from the busyness of work. I enjoy reading and watching fantasy series, spending time in nature with my dog, and going on long walks to venture into cute cafes and bookshops. I believe the only duty we truly serve in this life is to experience our own existence and work towards dismantling external pressures to be more than what we already are.
