Dr. Tanya Hilber received her doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Alliant International University (AIU), California School of Professional Psychology (PSY24479). Her Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology was awarded from Alliant International University (AIU) and her B.A. in Psychology was awarded from Carroll University in Wisconsin. Dr. Hilber’s doctoral dissertation explored midlife transitions in women of the baby boomer cohort. Specializing in Anxiety, ADHD, and PMADs, Dr. Hilber was awarded certification in Perinatal Mental Health (PMH-C).

Dr. Hilber co-owned San Diego Center for Neurofeedback, APPC with Dr. Christiana Silva. SDCNF was established in 2013 to provide neurofeedback services to children, teens, and adults with non medication based treatment to assist with physiological self-regulation, psychological resolution, decreasing symptoms, and increasing functioning for better quality of life. SDCNF specialized in treating children and teens with trauma, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorders (ADHD), Anxiety, behavioral issues and Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD).

In 2022, SDCNF merged with SD Center for Counseling to create San Diego Therapy Center, a non-profit, 501(c)3 where Dr. Hilber is the Executive Director of Neurofeedback and Supervisor of Neurofeedback providers. The purpose of this merge is to provide comprehensive trauma recovery services with trauma informed counseling and neurofeedback treatment, as well as increase access to neurofeedback services to the community.

Professional Positions

Dr. Hilber owns and manages a group practice, Hilber Psychological Services. The therapists’ expertise at this group practice include working with children, teens, and adults. Our clinicians provide evidenced-based treatment for ADD/ADHD, Anxiety, Asperger’s/Autism Spectrum, depression, trauma, parenting, and life stressors. HPS accepts private pay, Aetna, Anthem, Cigna, and Tricare for therapy services at Hilber Psychological Services. HPS is located in Mission Valley and El Cajon/Rancho San Diego areas.

Board Position

Dr. Tanya Hilber is the Vice President Board Director of San Diego Therapy Center, 501(c)3. This organization was developed to provide low to no cost therapeutic services to children who are impacted by traumatic events. SDTC organization’s mission is to improve the life circumstances of victims of trauma, especially children and their families, and stop the cycle of abuse and victimization. SDTC provides specialized, trauma-informed counseling and neurofeedback services at low-cost in order to increase mental health care access for the underserved and disenfranchised.
